The vibe was pure joy on April 29th as our philanthropy team, VIBES, had the privilege of hosting an Easter-themed event for 26 children and their families from the Ronald McDonald House. Each of these children is currently undergoing treatment at Rady Children’s Hospital, with the Ronald McDonald House serving as their “home away from home” during this tough period.
The event featured a bounce house, crafts, free frozen yogurt, and an Easter Bunny photo op, with many TCWGlobal employees and their children joining in to foster a sense of community and connection.
At the event, a single mother shared how her family stayed at Ronald McDonald House for two years during her daughter's heart transplant and brain surgery. The Ronald McDonald House was there again when they were ready to move out, helping them transition to an apartment with essentials for their fresh start.
Several TCWGlobal employees helped plan the Easter party. A member of our Campus Joy team said, “It’s fun to see it all finally come together and see kid’s faces light up. My family stayed in a Ronald McDonald house once, and I know it's so helpful to give these kids fun events to look forward to.”
