Our Investment in Continuous Education
Recently, we chose to invest in the professional goals of several TCWGlobal employees by sponsoring them as they pursued their SHRM certification. This was a lengthy commitment of 3 hours per week (after hours) for 8 weeks, and it was followed by the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential exam.
Thirteen employees chose to participate in this opportunity, and their feedback on the experience has been overwhelmingly positive!
Impact of Professional Growth on Company Culture
The culture impact of this investment in continuous education has been impressive and transformative. By providing professional development opportunities, we’ve been able to enhance individual career paths and improve employee satisfaction across the organization.
When asked if the SHRM course helped her reach her personal or professional goals, Adelyn Moody, an iAlign Director, answered:
“Yes! I've been looking into getting an HR certification for a few years now and had been asking my colleagues and people which made the most sense. It was great to have the privilege of being able to do it through work!”
Grant Larson, who serves as a Global Account Manager, was also thrilled about the opportunity. “My career goal is to become an HR /people leader of an organization, and this only helps me get closer to that goal.”

Enhancing Client Experience through Employee Excellence
Supporting our employees does more than increase employee happiness, however. This investment creates a ripple effect that enhances the overall client experience! Upon being surveyed, many employees said that this course had a direct impact on the quality of their work and service.
Angelina Chaney, a Global Training Specialist, shared, "If I am able to provide inclusive, dynamic teachings to our front-facing team members to help them grow and develop, then the clients will benefit the most at the end of the day. I feel I have a great understanding of how my role impacts the business overall, and I need to always continue striving to grow myself in order for others to benefit."
Jenay Dao, a Global Account Manager, added, “In my role, I heavily work with the client and their workers. Including communicating HR standards and employment laws and regulations. Having this knowledge will help me become more aware of these situations and could potentially prevent errors.”
