For every extra hour of work performed on a regular workday, workers are entitled to 125% of their hourly rate. For work performed during holidays, workers are given 150% of their regular rate. However, for work performed during Labor Day, National Commemorative day, and Revolution Day, the pay will be 200%.

Termination

Both the company and worker are given the right to end an engagement contract provided that a written notice is submitted indicating the reasons for termination. Notice Period for workers that are terminated is up to 30 days, depending on the nature of job.

Resignation

A notice period is required depending on the type of worker. For manual workers a minimum of 10 days' written notice is required. For non-manual workers, a minimum of 30 days' written notice is required. For contracts under 1 month, no notice period is necessary.

Other End of Employment Rules

Upon termination of engagement, there is a provision for severance pay. The amount is calculated as 15 days' pay for every completed year of service.

Workers are also entitled to 2 weeks of paid paternity leave and 7 days of paid sick leave per year. Workers receive paid time off for all national holidays.
